Thursday January 27, Luis Alberto de Cuenca discuss his creative process, will read his poetry and establish a conversation with the audience.

Luis Alberto de Cuenca and Prado was born in Madrid on December 29 1950. She has two children: Álvaro (1976) and Agnes (1989). He has a PhD in Classics and Professor of Research at the Institute of Philology of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Scientific. He has been Director of the National Library (1996-2000) and Secretary of State for Culture (2000-2004). Since October 2010 is academic of the Royal Academy of History.
As a poet, has published, among other books, Elsinore (Madrid, 1972), Scholia (Barcelona, \u200b\u200b1978), The Silver Box (Sevilla, 1985, Critics Award 1986), The Other Dream (Sevilla, 1987) The ax and the rose (Sevilla, 1993), for strong borders (Madrid, 1996), the worlds and days. Poetry 1972-1998 (Madrid, 1999), without fear or hope (Madrid, 2002), La Vie en llamas (Madrid, 2006) and The Kingdom White (2010).
Among his books are not poetic: English forest of various cavalry (Madrid, 1975), need the myth (Barcelona, \u200b\u200b1976), The hero and his masks (Madrid, 1991), Etcetera (Sevilla, 1993), The hundred best poems of English (Madrid, 1998 ) Smoke Signals (Valencia, 1999), yellow tiles (Madrid, 2001), De Gilgamesh Francisco Nieva (Madrid, 2005) and Life Studies (Avila, 2010) and names (Valladolid, 2011).
has played a diligent work as a translator for different languages, classical and modern, giving the National Translation Prize in 1989 with his version of the anonymous Valtario Song, published by Siruela.
is also author of numerous research, criticism and dissemination in journals (Emeritus, Classical Studies, New Magazine, Cuadernos Hispano, Insula, Revista de Occidente, History 16, etc.) and a regular contributor for ABC as a columnist and critic.
